  • Icon 114300 Fatal collision at Barnwell Road / Newmarket Road roundabout Appeal following fatal collision in Cambridge city 26 Mar 2020 "A man has died following a collision in Cambridge yesterday (25 March). At about 4.30pm, a cyclist, a man in his 80s, was involved in a collision with a white van on the Newmarket Road roundabout with Barnwell Road. Emergency services attended and the man was taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital, in Cambridge, where he died today (26 March). The driver of the van remained at the scene and was not injured. • Icon 113835 REQUEST FOR A BIKEHANGAR • our neighbourhood has shown interest in a Bikehangar as there aren’t any available spaces nearby, e.g. none in Grove Park nor Pelham Close • especially on the south side of Grove Park, SE5, are a large number of flats and estates without outdoor space to park their bikes • people would cycle more if they would have an option where to keep their bikes. We see a lot of new electric car chargers on the road, which is good, but not everyone can afford an electric car • we think the 1-parking space in the curve of Pelham Close, could work nicely as it is not an ideal parking space due to the curvy pedestrian walk and the bin van sometimes still struggles to pass to collect the bins. To place a Bikehangar could be the ideal solution to use that space in a more efficient way. Also, there is less traffic as in Grove Park, that would make cyclists feel safer. Looking forward to your reply. Best regards in behalf of Grove Park/Pelham Close residents Nicole Frech

  • Icon 113677 I need place to park 3 bikes for my family,I have neighbours too who need spaces
  • Icon 113673 There is currently no weather-proof parking on Avondale Rise. I think it would be much needed. Thank you!
  • Icon 113556 The area of Willesden Junction is desperately and dangerously polluted; with a primary school, and many families and old people living nearby. Cycling must be improved in the area: in particular with cycle routes around the Junction and into Harlesden and Kensal Rise, and CYCLE PARKING. We would particularly benefit from hoops outside 120 Rucklidge Avenue, and its environs as there are many cyclists living on this road, with no on-street parking. Thank you.
  • Icon 113385 We would prefer a Bikehangar
